The LASER Programme is an on-going training programme co-developed and directed by Gareth D Morewood and Studio III. This programme provides training and ongoing support/supervision & coaching for teachers, key staff members, families and pupils within a low arousal framework and inclusive ethos. This programme is evidence-based with a strong experiential focus and seeks to develop less stressful school environments and more resilient practitioners and environments.

Why should I attend?
Through participation in the programme, delegates will:
- Learn about the low arousal approach and how it can improve outcomes for children and young people, staff and families.
- Understand more about stress and how we can support ourselves.
- Improve classroom pedagogy regarding effective feedback, metacognition and inclusive practices.

Who should attend?
SENCOs, Headteachers, Senior Leaders, Inclusion Leads, Pastoral Leads, Classteachers
All participating schools will be asked to complete and submit a 'Needs Questionnaire' prior to the training session to ensure this bespoke B&D programme of training is tailored to your needs. A copy of this questionnaire can be found on the Resources section of the BDSIP website here. Once completed, it should be returned to garethm@studio3.org

Costs
BDSIP Members - Pay as you go: £30 per delegate with a B&D subsidy.
Non-BDSIP Members: £37.50 per delegate with a B&D subsidy.

This course will take place via Zoom which will be facilitated by Studio III. For this reason, registration will close at 12pm on Friday 10th July. You will be contacted by Studio 3 who will provide you with Zoom access details.

Further Training Opportunities
As the programme has a heavy emphasis on co-production with families, schools who participate in this training will also be provided with free access to workshops for parents to support their understanding and use of the programme principles at home. Parents will need to sign up via the BDSIP website and their details will be passed to Studio III who will provide access to this training.
For personalised coaching bespoke to your setting, schools will also have the option to register two colleagues for 6 fortnightly virtual coaching sessions between September and November 2020. This will cost £100 per school and sessions will take place on Mondays.
In 2021, there will also be 4 further training events. Further details will be released in the Autumn Term 2020.
