This course explores the EIF with a focus on SEND, in order to strengthen school self-evaluation and school improvement for SEND. Throughout this training, participants are encouraged to consider the implications for their strategic planning and how they might work with staff.

SENCOs will:

develop a working understanding of the current Ofsted school Education Inspection Framework (EIF) in relation to SEND

apply this understanding to support school self-evaluation of SEND
Delegates will consider the implications for their strategic planning and how they might work with staff. The course may include references to:

what makes an inclusive culture

SEND and social justice
-
curriculum equity
-
curriculum intent
-
curriculum implementation, including examining aspects of classroom practice, such as differentiation, and links with the relevant research published through Ofsted and curriculum impact.
