This course will support teachers with meeting the end of KS1 requirements for maths and assessing them against the Teacher Assessment Frameworks. It will include a focus on reasoning.


 This is a full day course.


The course tutor will be Jean Jacyna.

It is imperative that you bring the work/books of 1 child at each standard.


Why should I attend?

  • Share government documentation
  • Share the structure and format of a moderation session.


What will it cover?

  • Consider the range of evidence needed to make appropriate teacher assessment by the end of KS1.
  • Look at the links between the Teacher Assessment Framework and the maths test framework
  • Discuss the expectations for the gathering of work in order to use as evidence to support teacher assessment judgements.
  • Identify teaching strategies that will enable pupils to meet expectations, including reasoning.
  • Look at work with colleagues and make judgements based on our evidence so far.

This is a full day course.

Upon registration our booking system will correctly display the cost of this course based on your school package status.

  • CPD Package subscribers: There will be no charge for this course for schools who have purchased the CPD Package.
  • Pay as you go BDSIP members: For schools that have not bought the CPD Package, there will be a charge of £200 per delegate for BDSIP members.
  • Pay as you go non-members: There will be a charge of £250 per delegate for schools which do not currently have BDSIP membership.
